Queens University of Charlotte is a private, co-ed, masters level university with a commitment to liberal arts and professional studies. Founded in 1857 and affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, USA, the university has 2,250 students, 122 full-time faculty, 41 majors, and 11 graduate degree programs.

The James L. Knight School of Communication prepares consumers and creators of communication messages to become engaged citizens, advocates and leaders in the communities they serve. The Knight School offers a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Journalism and Digital Media, a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Communication, and a Master of Arts in Communication.

Charlotte is ranked in the top 25 media markets in the United States, according to Nielsen Media Research.

The John Belk International Program at Queens offers students the chance to broaden their global perspective, experience another culture and discover another part of the world. Almost 80 percent of Queens undergraduates participate in the program, which covers major expenses for most options. The national average for undergraduate study in foreign programs is less than 10 percent.

Mackenzie Presbyterian University, based in São Paulo, is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in Brazil. Mackenzie has more than 40,000 students on campuses in São Paulo, Campinas, Barueri, Brasilia, Recife, and Rio de Janeiro.

Campus Brasil is the first Brazilian-owned coordinator specialized in customized faculty-led and short-term programs. Based in São Paulo, the organization collaborates with more than 100 universities throughout the world, including Queens, Arizona State University, Ball State University, Cornell University, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California.
