A Week With Americans at the Rio Olympics

By August 18, 2016Blog

Three Brazilians from São Paulo — Luis Ottoni, Paula Del Trejo and I — spent the first week of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games alongside American journalism students from Queens University of Charlotte. It was exciting to work in Rio during the games, speaking in another language and making a little bit of our culture understood in another country. In this video, Bob Page of the Knight School of Communication at Queens describes our overall performance. Joe Cornelius was the other leader on the program. A São Paulo-based foreign study organization, Campus Brasil, initiated the partnership between Queens and Mackenzie Presbyterian University, where I study. I thank the students, faculty, and staff members of these organizations for the best experience of my life.
